Dale’s lifelong love of art began during her childhood in Chicago. As early as 8 years of age, she accompanied
her father (Milton Kahn), a prominent commercial artist, to his downtown Chicago studio. Here she learned the
rudiments of sketching techniques, compositional design and acute observation. She studied at the American
Academy of Art at age ten, pursued studies at the Art Institute of Chicago, then culminated her formal studies
with a B.S. in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1969. She studied under world-renown
painter Santos Zingale and watercolorist Don Anderson. Dale has taught hundreds of students, both privately and
at the collegiate level in Florida, Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Ohio for more than 30 years. She has not only
promoted numerous shows for her students, but also jurored art exhibitions and festivals. She paints and teaches
at Silverdale Studios on the Gulf Coast in Pensacola, Florida where she resides with husband, Frank. You can see
