
Mark grew up the son of a carpenter and has always had a love of working with wood. A member of the Santa Rosa
Arts and Cultural Foundation (Artist #73), his unique art consisting of tile and wood has been developed over
several years. Mark is only one of a handful of artist working in this medium. Each original tile piece take
between 10 to 15 hours to create over a period of 7 to 10 days due to the various drying and setting times of
stain, polyurethane, adhesives, grout and sealant.
A native of Kent, Ohio mark enlisted in the Navy flying as an Aircrewman venturing to over 50 countries. He completed 33 years of service and retired as a Commander in August of 2005. Mark and his wife Anita have resided in Pace, Florida since 1996. He has a Masters degree in counseling and psychology from Troy University and is employed part time as a Career and Academic Advisor.
