Capri Boyle Jones

Capri is a fiber artist specializing in hand hooked rugs, décor and wearables. Each piece incorporates hand dyed wools as well as other fibers and embellishments appropriate for the intended use. Dyeing the wool increases the color palette to create new colors and color patterns. The fibers are her paint and the hook her paintbrush.

A resident of Navarre, Florida, Capri lived in Kentucky most of her life. It was there seventeen years ago she began studying the very old fiber art of rug hooking to create rugs for her own hardwood floors. Family and friends encouraged Capri to develop the gift of her art in fiber professionally thru designing, dyeing, creating, restoring and teaching.

Study continues to develop sensitivity in each piece of work. Inspiration for Capri’s artwork is found in her faith in God, people in her life and the beauty around us.
