Her black and white of the Pensacola Naval Air Station’s Lighthouse will be the cover of the ECR IV, to be published in 2008.

In January 2002, three of her photos were published in Jack Beach’s poetry chapbook, I Love You, Pensacola. In April 2002, two of her photos were selected by the American Cancer Society as greeting cards in its annual fundraiser; in May 2002, the publication, “Voices of the Past, Vol. VIII: A Walk Around Aragon” (a student project sponsored by Old Hometown of the Escambia County School District and the W. Fla. Historic Preservation Society), featured five of her photos of Aragon Courts, prior to its demolition.

Since 2001 she has won many first-place ribbons at the Pensacola Interstate Fair’s Photographic Arts Competitions, as well as several “Best Cat Award” ribbons and “The Pampered Chef” award; in the 2005 Power of Photography (POP) Show, sponsored by The Wide Angle Photo Club, one of her images won The Best Domestic Animal/Pet Award in that competition in 2006 and in the 2007 POP Show she received two honorable mentions. Her dramatic sunlight through the trees photo was also chosen as the Florida State Parks Landscape Photo of the Month in December 2003.

Also, national bestselling author, Robert McCammon, has her photos of him on his website: robertmccammon.com. One of her photos depicting two merging storm fronts was featured on WEAR-TV Channel 3’s Weather Photo of the Week, airing August 3, 2002.

She has participated in many Art Affair and Outside Art Shows, sponsored by the Santa Rosa Arts Association or the Arts Council of Northwest Florida, respectively. She had images selected at Artel Gallery: for its Incognito in 2004 (“Boat Wake” 4/6 to 5/7), The Guy’s Show 2004 (“Tired of Fishin’) 5/11 to 6/25), You Can’t Go Wrong With Red 2008 (“Wild Ox Alive” 4/15 to 5/16) and its Members’ Show in 2005 (12/6/05 to 1/6/06), and several images have been selected for The Pensacola Museum of Art’s Members’ Juried Shows: two in 2007 (Osprey Flight Over Sanders Beach; Muscogee Wharf) and one in 2008 (Sunlight Through Trees).

"Margret expresses herself in an almost magical manner. She has an eye for the micro-realistic, and focuses in on a world that would ordinarily be missed. Her photos express the dedication of a parade of tiny ants inside a dandelion, the work of Mother Nature in the colorful swirls in a rock pattern, the tranquility of a ray of sunshine beaming through the branches of an old oak, the splendor of a total lunar eclipse, and the majesty of a bumble bee gathering pollen from a colorful flower."
