A lifelong interest in color and design has turned many of Linda’s everyday experiences into artistic learning opportunities. From clothing design to interior decorating, these talents were honed during many moves with the military.

Linda’s interest in painting as an expression of her creativity started in Hawaii where she studied acrylic painting and became an accomplished decorative artist. Her work was represented in the Boutiki Gallery and Gift Shop at Pearl Harbor among other venues. Even today her work often reflects the beautiful theme that Hawaii inspires.

Her transition to the watercolor medium was an outgrowth of Linda’s move to Pensacola in January, 2000. Studying with other local artists provided an opportunity to grow both personally and artistically. Linda particularly enjoys the endless challenges and emotional satisfaction that the free flow of watercolors provides. Her subjects include landscapes, flowers and portraits. Since moving to Pensacola, her work has been shown in the Gulf Breeze Art Members Show, Tiger Point Country Club, The Wright Street Show and the Escambia County Fair-Fine Art Show. Linda’s work was selected to be in the Opera League Cookbook in 2003. She and two other artists orchestrated the annual Marcus Pointe Show. This endeavor, to bring together their talents in art, jewelry and pottery, proved to be very successful in 2003 and 2004. Her collage cards are sold in gifts shops in the area.

After taking an abstract workshop this year and exploring the endless possibilities of this mixed media, she is looking forward to yet another form of expressing her love of art.

Linda has been a member of Blue Morning Gallery since July, 2005.
